An idea looking at feeling abandoned, didn't really turn out as imagined. Went through many iterations and attempts, which goes to show that sometimes the ideas that come together easily and quickly are generally the best.
One of the original takes on the idea, the monster ghost just wasn't working out.
Another iteration, this focused on the hidden mother pastiche of the Victorian era, trying to explore how a woman sometimes feels after childbirth. Still really like this. Two positives that came out of this project are discovering how much I enjoy exploring psychological themes that surround family and a cool texturing technique that uses Photoshop's new tilt brushes.
